Why Charter Seahag2?

A Word from the Captain...

Before I owned my own boat, this is how I chartered a boat. I looked over the ads and often went to look at the boats, always bearing in mind my own charter needs and expectations. After all, the point of a charter is to provide a great day on the water and catch some fish.

I also considered the ride out to the marina, loading my gear on the boat, getting underway, the boat ride itself, fishing, the ride in, cleaning the fish, and the ride home as part of the whole experience.

The boat captain can make or break the day. I remember a trip when, for whatever reason, the striped bass bite was dead and I asked the captain if we could go fluke fishing. He was instantly transformed into Captain Nasty! It really wasn't that big a deal to change rigs and break out some spearing. He finally agreed to switch and we all brought home some nice fluke AND a 5.5 lb. sea bass. The other boats came back with no fish or one or two buefish.

This Captain's thoughts are that customers are paying their hard earned money to feel a tug on the line and have a good day. If it's a choice between catching nothing or catching fluke or porgies or whatever, I want my customers to have the fun of catching any type of fish.
